“The villa looks just like the pictures, was beautiful clean and peaceful. Dana was a huge help, she arranged pickup from the ferry for us, helped to set up communication with the taxi service, arranged massages at the villa for us, drove us to the beach, and brought us pastries for breakfast one day. It was about a 20 minute walk from Chaweng Beach. Overall had a great stay!” -AIRBNB Guest

``Allan is great he will help you to get acquainted with the city housing. The accommodation is great clean big and cozy. The pool and relaxation area is superb. The buffet is a few steps from the villa is top 158 bath at will and it's super good. The house has a welcome and the atmosphere is super quiet after a day in Chaweng. Go there quality price level there is surely no better. Thanks Allan Melody ``

``A great house with a large pool in the center of Chaweng.``
Excellent house with three bedrooms and a large swimming pool in the center of Chaweng. Big house, three bedrooms three bathrooms, on the balcony of one of the bedrooms has a hot tub and views of the jungle. The kitchen is equipped with everything necessary for a hundred per cent, in the kitchen, two ceiling fans and air conditioning. Word of a great house in Chaweng. The owner is very welcome and ready to help in everything, he took the car for the price by 30-40% cheaper than all the other proposals.

“We had a great stay at Baan Luxor. The villa itself is absolutely beautiful and quite spacious (the master bedroom is massive, even though the other 2 rooms are quite a bit smaller). The swimming pool is shared with a couple of other villas, but it's so spacious that it really didn't hinder our trip and it was a good way to meet other tourists! There's also a beautiful ``zen space`` set up right next to the swimming pool which added to the relaxing stay. Overall the location is quite central, about a 15-20 minute drive to bophut, & a 5 min drive (about 20-25 minute walk) to chaweng beach. There's also 2 7/11 stores only a 5 min walk away from the villa, which was great for late night snacks! Taxis are also readily available and quite inexpensive (either at villa pickup or at the main road). Overall, we found it quite ideal to be close enough but not exactly in center chaweng- it made our trip much more relaxing! The hosts, Allan & Dana, were an absolute pleasure. They arranged out airport pickup and drop off and were readily available for advice about the island and best spots to go to. We actually ended up at the most beautiful beach we had seen on the island because of their recommendation! They respected our privacy completely and also offered to drop us off to multiple places around the island if they were heading in the same direction. They also offered to provide a number of services like meals, happy hour at the bar, Thai massages, etc. Unfortunately, we didn't have the chance to try any of the services, but the mere fact that it was offered is definitely over and beyond what most hosts offer! All in all, we had a great trip, and staying at Baan Luxor contributed majorly to this!” Rima

As a recent graduate who went to Koh Samui for the full moon party with 4 other friends we were able to get a cheap price for a villa compared to the other graduates we met on the trip who had booked elsewhere.
The villa itself was in great condition and I couldn't believe my eyes the moment we stepped inside. There an immense amount of greenery keeping the atmosphere fresh and tropical. It really added to the experience of being away on holiday. The rooms themselves were well suited to us with plenty of power plugs to charge phones and free wi-fi.
The location itself is within walking distance to a Tesco Express but not too far from a Tesco Lotus (big supermarket) which we were able to stock up on all the necessities. We ran out of stuff halfway during the week but it wasn't really a problem as we would just easily pop over to the supermarket to get more of what we needed.
Another bonus is that it also within a reasonable drive from the hospital which is closer than most other beach front hotels.
The owners seem pretty well connected and did us a tremendous help by helping us arrange things such as rentals, booking tickets for ferry to the island where the full moon party is hosted and told us about a couple other things we could try out, during our stay.
For the most part if you don't end up renting a motorcycle, you can use one of the various motorcycle taxis around at a reasonable price. There also the possibility of booking a van to drop you off and pick you up at set times so things like these can help cover for the fact that it not a beach front villa.
The compound itself is well equipped as it comes with a bar and pool for those times when you just want lounge around and it actually quite nice staying in the villas themselves you don't feel like your suffocating or a sense of regret having booked this place. As you can always relax in the private Jacuzzi you have for your villa.
It does a pretty good job at discreetly hiding the walls behind vast greenery and you don't really notice them from the inside but at the same time you have a sense of security inside the compound. -Laurence Barns

We were 3 couples who lived 2 weeks with Allan and Danuta in their clean and well-kept villa, we had a very comfortable stay where we got all the help with that we want and always was taken good care of. If we were missing something, they drove us to the Mall or that they recommended us places to go, only to drive us there. The Villa was always in a calm atmosphere where one could sit by the pool to take morning coffee or take a dip in the inviting pool. If you wanted something to drink or something like that, there was always someone from the staff there to help. For us who are very fond of animals it was fun to get to know Honey, the dog to Allan and Danuta, she always came for some petting or snack, something we enjoyed much and we think they did as well. The House itself was large and Nice, but since it was a master bedroom and 2 smaller bedrooms it probably fit better for a family than for 3 couples. The location is such that you have to take a taxi to go to the beach or the city, now a taxi cost so much, but with enough trips it becomes a bit. When we came to the Villa we were referred to the many rules, a bit too many for our tastes, but we adjusted it a little so that everyone was satisfied, but since they accepted this they may not need to list all these, one can be intimidated by less. But all in all we had a great stay in the Villa white Allan, Danuta and Honey Greetings Roar, May, Jan, Kjersti, Stian and Veronica

I would recommend the Baan Luxor villa (made up of 4 villas - we stayed in the Lily villa) to a family looking for a tranquil and relaxing getaway.

Cleanliness & Hygiene:
This is the most important factor for my family - we would be glad to pay more for a clean and hygienic experience. Please do not get me wrong - the villa is not spotless but it has met our criteria - well maintained flooring / stairs / ceiling, clean bed sheets with no funny smell, no pests in and around the villa and a clean Jacuzzi tub - cleaner than some hotel's bathtubs. The only issue we had during the 5 days / 4 nights stay was on the last night, when we observe intermittent brownish running water from the kitchen and washing machine faucet, which lasted for about a couple of hours. The water from other taps were ok though. The hosts took our feedback seriously and they were checking and rectifying the issue as we left.

Space and comfort:
With a family of 3 adults and 2 children (10 & 8 years old), we had ample space in and outside of the villa. We also had an opportunity to utilize the swimming pool (it's filtered water and not seawater), relaxation spot and the Jacuzzi tub as well. All the beddings are King / Queen size and they served us well! The living room couch, dinning furniture and the kitchen (with microwave / oven and utensils / cutlery) were all well maintained.

Service:
This is a very much family run villa and so, please do not expect hotel like services and amenities. However, the hosts (Allan and Dana) took care of us like family - worrying about our safety, advising us how not to get ripped off and making sure that we are well taken care of. They also did their very best to accommodate our requests. The 2-way airport transfer were on time and the first day's trip to the grocery store was very useful for us to get breakfast and other essential stuff, e.g. bottled water.

We also took a half day trip around the island with Dana and she was most accommodating with our requests in terms of length of staying at each sightseeing spots and also sharing with us a fantastic and secluded beach spot for lunch (included in the tour). Upon our request, she also brought us to the island safari for an elephant ride which my daughter was looking forward to. There was no stops requiring us to buy local produce / gems / other stuff at ``tourist price``. 🙂 The whole tour was flexible in terms of sightseeing spots, we just had to know what we wanted and kept to the overall timing. If you are looking for an experience from a localized expat, this will be it. 🙂

Tip: I would suggest to get a local SIM card at the airport so that you can get in touch with the hosts and they are very responsive to SMS and calls.

Location:
The villa is in a secluded location, in the middle of residential area which means no loud music... except for the sounds of nature... rustling leaves and gentle breezes. 🙂 We walked to a nearby restaurant about 10 mins away on the first night. However, I would not recommend that mainly because of the traffic and lack of walking pavement - especially tough for elderly and kids. In fact, we got puzzled looks as we were the only people walking along the roads - most locals travel by motor bikes / cars!

For subsequent days, we just timed our activities so that we are in the town during lunch and dinner time. Travelling to Chaweng beach or the Fisherman Village by taxi is only 300-400 Baht one way. It worked out well for us.

Conclusion:
If we go back to Samui again for a relaxing getaway, we would go back to the villa again!

“Spectacular serenity, service and sea”
Reviewed June 12, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

It was my husband's fortieth birthday and I was traveling with our extended family. We loved the Baan Luxor villa, which is 10 minutes drive time from the main beach of chaweng. Our mind was further made up after exchanging emails with Allan, who is the proprietor of the villas. Four beautiful Egyptian style villas are nestled together in the compound and have been build in Egyptian style and beauty. The rooms - master bedroom - was huge. The other bedrooms are fine and can accommodate two people each. The living room, kitchen and bathrooms are very clean and the kitchen has all the amenities. The swimming pool has a gazebo and beachers...for a lazy swim or for reading. Allan was kind enough to take us to the super market too. He also got an airport pick up arranged for us. He and his hospitable and friendly wife would always ask us if we needed anything. I had ordered a surprise cake for my husband's birthday which Allan and his wife arranged it to be delieved to them. Before the birthday.

We shall be staying at the villa again in the future in case we decide the go to koh Sami again. The island is beautiful but it is the place of stay that makes one go back to that destination. And for me and my husband, we have fond memories, and a great vacation time, thanks to Baan Laxor Villa, and Allan.

“A great place to stay in Koh Samui”
Reviewed January 4, 2015 for a stay in December 2014
The villa was spacious and clean and a great base for our holiday with our grown up children. There are 4 villas around a shared pool. Allan and Dana live in one of them and so is always on site to help out if needed. Nowhere on the Island is far away and there are shops for essential items and a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Taxis are easy to find although we hired a car and a couple of scooters. The Isand itself is very busy and commercial but we found some quieter places to visit too. The weather in December was hot but often cloudy and we had a couple of days where it rained heavily in the afternoon.

Beautifully maintained villa in a good location coupled with personal service you can rely on for everything from booking trips to transportation and vast local knowledge. Yan's personal approach, obvious care and attention to detail were second to none. I would recommend Baan Luxor to anyone who wishes to visit Koh Samui - Vickie, Ottawa, Canada

From the first prompt email reply until the moment we left Baan Luxor, Jan was extremely thoughtful, polite, and helpful. The villa was perfect for our family of 4. Our two older teenage sons enjoyed the spacious accommodation and the joys of wifi. My husband and I enjoyed a peaceful swim and chatting under the shady sala. The villa was very tastefully furnished, and the aircon worked efficiently. We used Jan's taxi service to get into Bophut and Chaweng, which worked well, and also enjoyed Jan's tour around Samui, discovering lots of interesting and beautiful spots off the main tourist track. Jan is a very kind chap. We had never tried durian, and he brought us a piece to try. On the island tour he spent about 10 minutes trying to patiently coax a monkey to return the earring that it had stolen from my ear. Overall we had a very relaxing week, the diving organised from Bophut to sail rock was amazing and we felt very well looked after by Jan and his partner. Thanks for everything Jan! - Lisa, Singapore

As unseasoned travelers, we picked the perfect place to stay when we booked at Baan Luxar! Besides being perfectly clean (& my standards are high), Yan made us feel at welcome & at home! He was very informative & helpful with anything we needed. Koh Samui is very different than the us & if it weren't for him our trip could have been a bust! It was very bittersweet to leave. I highly recommend his place & would definitely stay there again! - April

Well cleaned, well equipped, very good situated: 5min with motorbike from Chaweng,10min from Lamai beach,5 from supermarket. Big flat, good cleaned swimming pool and garden. I really recommend this rental and Jan is so kind and pro. Better and cheaper for a family to stay in Baan luxor than in a hotel. I recommend motorbike renting (ask Jan to manage it...he's a very good guide and has good advice about everything - Charlotte Ansouis (France)

We stayed at Baan Luxor for 4 weeks from 27/12/11 to 25/01/12 (2 adults & 2 children 2 & 3yrs). We absolutely adored Baan Luxor & cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone thinking of staying on Samui. Before kids, we stayed at quite a few of the 4/5 star resorts on Samui & would definitely rank Baan Luxor amongst the highest on presentation & service. From the moment you walk through the secure gates, you feel like your in your own piece of paradise. The garden, pool, waterfall & sala take your breath away. Everything is maintained to the highest standard. Then you walk inside your villa & the layout & design of the villa will again impress you. It is spacious & everything has its own place making you feel at home. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to either cook a full dinner, or it had everything we needed when we ordered takeaway & dished up. We also really appreciated that there was tea & coffee necessities in the kitchen (we have stayed in other villa's in the past & had absolutely nothing provided). We loved the plant atrium inside. The bedrooms upstairs were great & the master bedroom was really spacious with a lovely ensuite. The upstairs balcony was beautiful with views of the lake & mountain & an amazing jacuzzi outside - just brilliant! Like most of the private villa's on the island, it is not located in the heart of Chaweng, but it’s only a few minutes drive from the main street. We cannot speak highly enough of Yan & Kai & all of Yan's expert advise he gave. We were very sad to leave Baan Luxor & cannot wait until we can get back there again! - Pam G. Upper Beaconsfield

My husband and I plus 2 friends have just been to stay at Baan Luxor for a week. The villa itself has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and if it wasn't there Yan will get it for you. The villa is lovely, very clean and modern. Very peaceful surroundings and the pool area is a nice chilling out area. As for the location, its very central for getting about anywhere on the island. Nothing more to say other than great value for money and Yan can't do enough for you

10 Aug 2011

I stayed at Baan Luxor with my husband and two children. From the moment we arrived until the very end, we were made to feel welcome by Yan and his team. The villa was spotless. Everything was in working order and on rare occasion when there was a problem, Yan would come along and fix it immediately. On one day we were being picked up by a bus to take us to the ferry bound for Koh Tao and the bus forgot about us. Yan came to the rescue and took us himself so we wouldn't miss the ferry. If you required anything, Yan and Guy were there to help. We also met some wonderful people during our stay. The villas a wonderful and great for a family with children as it gives you the space to be able to hang out in your villa and supervise your children playing in the pool. Unlike a hotel room where you are all cramped together in one room and would have to eat out every night. At Baan Luxor we could order in from time to time as our kids got bored going to restaurants every night. If you are a family on a budget, it's a better option compared to a hotel. You would have to book either a pool villa or two inter-connecting rooms (if you have kids) and Baan Luxor is way cheaper than that. However, you do need a car if you're staying at Baan Luxor as it's not on the beach side. It didn't worry us at all. I would highly recommend Baan Luxor. Thanks Yan and team for a fabulous stay - PEARL of Marseille, France

7 June 2011

We cannot speak highly enough of Baan Luxor and of the hospitality and service supplied by Jan during our recent family holiday (2 parents, 1 grandparent and 1 year old baby). The accommodation was absolutely beautiful - it even exceeded our expectations which were already high given what we'd seen on the internet, and the value for money was excellent. The facilities in the house, the stunning surrounds, the gorgeous salt water pool were all just perfect. Jan went out of his way at all times to make sure we had everything we needed. We even had a scare with our baby having a severely high fever and Jan took us straight to the hospital. Jan also provided a cot for our little one so we didn't have to bring a portacot. All the rooms upstairs are air-conditioned and were lovely and light. Cleaning was done regularly and very thorough. Only thing that would have topped it off would have been air-conditioning downstairs. We definitely plan to stay there again and have recommended it to all our friends and family - April & Jason, Canberra, Australia

We spent one week at Baan Luxor with our three teenage kids and we all enjoyed it equally! The villas are beautiful, decorated with great taste and sense of detail, very luxurious and functional with enough bed- and bathrooms for a big family. Yan's service is no less than excellent, he's there to cater for any need or request that you may have! The location is suitable for a family who wants to be close to everything and yet have privacy. Great luxury to dive into the (big!) infinity pool after a trip to the beach in Chaweng or relax in the private spa on the balcony! This is an ideal and unique option for a family who wants the freedom to discover the real Koh Samui rather than staying one week in a beach resort. We highly recommend it and will definitely come back! - Mette, Shenzen, China

10 feb 2011

We (6 adults) stayed in one of the houses for 2 weeks. And what can I say, just perfect holiday. The house was really spacious and extremely clean. I could say that the cleaning was done better than in a 4 or 5-star-hotel. The pool was big and clean like the house. The beds were nice, not too soft or hard, slept like a baby every night. The aircons are really effective and we didn't even have to keep it on in one of the (smaller) bedrooms, we just put the timing on so that it was on only 2-1? hours at night (from 4am to 6am usually). The location was excellent, it's close to shops and all the huzzle and buzzle but still far enough so that it's peaceful around the house. You can walk to Chaweng beach (did that once) but there's no sidewalks so it's pretty dangerous when it get's dark. And besides it's not even expensive to take a taxi so why bother to walk. We also took Jan's island tour and it was well worth it, we can really recommend that! We can't thank Jan and Kai enough for great vacation, they were so helpful and there to make sure we would feel like home. We'll definitely come back! - Mari from Vantaa, Finland

We have been staying from 15.12.2010 till 13.1.2011 with 6 adults and 2 small kids. House was very clean and
Yan & Kai was always day to help and assist. Location is optimal for families with kids and Cheweng beech is great place for relax. We have felt like at home all the time. We definitely recommend stay in Baan Luxor for all who seeks luxus stay in fantastic location... Thanks again Yan, Kai - Miro & Petra with family, Bratislava , Slovakia

An absolute Oasis! Just returned from a month at Baan Luxor and can highly recommend it to anyone wanting a great location, excellent clean accommodation, and wonderful service from Gai and Yan.
I have traveled to Samui several times, normally staying in Hotels or Boutique Resorts but when traveling with family and friends the comfort security and value for money of Baan Luxor will have me returning to this fabulous location time and time again.
I went wow as soon as I entered the gates with the beautiful garden and swimming pool, then when shown the villa, I knew I had found the holiday rental of my dreams.
Thankyou Yan and Gai for your hospitality and look forward to seeing you again next year - D. Quigley, Adelaide, South Australia

Bliss! We rented this Villa for the month of august 2010. Although a little concerned about the location when we arrived from the airport, we soon discovered that the villa is ideally located to discover some of the best beaches in Samui, aa well as being close enough to the hustle and bustle of Chaweng, when a bit of fun was needed. Yan, the owner of the villa, was always on hand to offer advice, and to solve any problems (very few) we encountered. The pictures of the villa probably don't do it justice, and is in excellent condition, both, inside and out. For the sake of objectivity, I must point out that there are 3 Villas on location, with the pool being shared. During our time there we pretty much had the pool and the pool area to ourselves the whole time, and so cannot say what it would be like if all the villas were occupied, but having the place to ourselves was definitely a 'luxury'. Also,Yan looks after two delightful cats, so if you have a problem with the feline species, I think it's only fair you're aware of this!!
Location, is, as I said ideal, but you will need transport. Car/Jeep hire is cheap in Samui,(mopeds are even cheaper!!) or you can always use Yan as a Taxi service when you don't feel like driving!! (this isn't free by the way, but no more expensive than using a taxi)
Overall, Great Villa. Great location. Great holiday!! - Richard Geoffreys, Luxembourg

30 aug 2010

Wonderful 0 a home away from home! Spent a fabulous two weeks at Baan Luxor. Wonderful villa with everything you could need to enjoy a relaxing break in tropical paradise. Yan was very helpful and I highly recommend his one day tour of the island. We used his services for lifts to the beach, restaurants etc and caught taxis - very easy and stress-free! The pool is gorgeous. Great value for money. Perfect for a family or group of friends. Simply wonderful!

Highly recommended - fabulous villa with everything you could need for a great holiday. We spent two weeks here with our children (10 and 7) and felt like Baan Luxor was our home away from home. Yan was very helpful and I highly recommend his tour of the island. We used his services for lifts to the beach, dinner, supermarket etc. Pool is gorgeous. A special find at a good price! Can't wait to go back!

My family and I recently returned home from a fabulous holiday in Thailand. After searching around the internet for accommodation in Koh Samui I came across a little gem called Baan Luxor . I was looking for a private location close enough to town but not too far away. Our villa was spacious, contemporary and very relaxing. As a host,Yan went above and beyond our expectations - he was brilliant. We stayed for 9 glorious days and were very sad when it came time for us to go home. We will be sure to return again very soon & highly recommend the Baan Luxor as the place to saty. Thank you Yan & Kai for our perfect Koh Samui experience
- Monica from Sydney

9 april 2010

We were lucky enough to spend over 7 weeks in Samui at Baan Luxor - and we feel we definitely lucked out with this choice (after lots of looking!). Yan and everyone there was very helpful in every way, from explaining hidden sights/activities on the island to lending us his blender and an old cell phone for our entire stay. The sort of help and friendliness that makes you relize you are not in a resort, more of a smaller, quiet, relaxing place - an Oasis for sure. We had a 2yr old and 9 month old and every one was great with the kids (Crib was supplied). The villa itself was great, new and maintained to the max (inc. the pool). We have no regrets at all about not being on the beachfront, from here you are about 10-15 minutes from several very different beaches so you learn which one suits your preference. Yes, you need to rent a vehicle of some kind but it's cheap! The villa was not perfect for kids, not enough storage/shelves above kid height, not enough hooks and the stairs were long, tiled and steep but theses small things, after 7 weeks, are the only things we could think of to improve - pretty minor concerns!

We'd come back again with no concerns at all - enjoy!

Excellent value for money! Baan Luxor is the perfect place to stay, far enough out of the action to get some peace but only a few minutes away from what Koh Samui has to offer. 6 of us stayed at the villa and we all agreed it was perfect. The villa is very spacious so you don't feel on top of each other and it has everything you need with an excellent sound system. The pool area is lovely also and it gets the sun all day. Yan and his partner are very helpful with anything you might need, whether that's a taxi ride, organising trips or hiring mopeds. A vehicle of some sort is useful as there isn't a massive selection of things near the villa but there is a tesco just 5 mins away on a moped. There is a 7/11 store near the villa with a cash machine etc so that was useful. I would recommend the villa to everyone and would certainly stay there again if we ever return to Samui. Excellent! - Kelly Stephenson, Leeds, UK

8 feb 2010

We stayed at Baan Luxor for eight incredible days. We loved the place and will for shore come back when we return to Samui. The Villa is amazing with a good location. Wonderful garden, nice interior and a lot of space. This Villa is strongly recommended and the hospitality and service from the land lord makes the stay even better… - Philip, Oslo, Norway

3 feb 2010

A group of 6 of us stayed in Baan Luxor for 2 weeks. It is a very well furnished and maintained villa in close proximity to Chaweng and Bophut. The service from Jan and staff was superb and we were never left feeling neglected. The rooms are great (the master bedroom even more so) and the Egyptian themed pool and grounds are great for relaxing. Thank you Jan and all for a great stay at Baan Luxor! - Alex, Melbourne, Australia

2 Feb 2010

We recently stayed at Baan Luxor as a group of 6 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The on-site manager was incredibly helpful and responsive (we highly recommend taking him up on his offered service of a day tour around the island. Very affordable and great fun, with stops at some really lovely out of the way places).

The villa itself is very comfortable and well appointed. It's a little out of the way, but this does not pose any great inconvenience.

Would happily stay there again - very friendly, comfortable and relaxing. Thank you for a great couple of weeks and for going out of your way to make us happy! - Anonymous, Melbourne, Australia

My husband and I have just returned from the luxury of Baan Luxor where we stayed for a fortnight with our 16month old daughter. The accommodation was wonderful - a lovely level of comfort & luxury - while the owners were fantastic - a great balance of non-intrusive yet extremely helpful! The pool is the best pool I have seen in Thailand (totally spotless & big), while the grounds are meticulously looked after by Jan and his partner! They take alot of care over every aspect of the villa and we loved it there! It was perfect for a stay with a young family as you have the luxury of a house (near Tesco!) with all the mod cons and our baby loved the pool (and cats)! Jan was extremely helpful, even popping out for take aways and there are a lot of lovely local restaurants nearby that were great for hanging out in with our baby! (we rarely saw her as she was whisked away by Thai families!). The rooms were a great size - the master room was huge, and the jacuzzi on the balcony was a fantastic way to end the day!
We rented a jeep through Jan as it was a little bit tucked away, but still only about 8mins drive to Chaweng or Bophut so very central!
A GREAT villa that comes highly recommended by the Barker family and we will be back (hopefully) for years to come!! Thanks Jan!! -Tara Barker, London, England

26 May 2009

We had a wonderful stay at Baan Luxor. The quality of the property was fantastic. Very tranquil with private surrounds, yet so central to the chaweng beach and the island's ringroad - perfect for business trip or a family getaway. Having the landlord on site to meet your every need was also a luxury....just like a home away from home, but with many of the benefits of staying in a hotel. Thank you for your hospitality Jan. I will definitely be back at Baan Luxor on my next visit to Koh Samui!

We would all like to thank you very much for making our stay at the Baan Luxor such a wonderful experience. It is truly a little paradise and all the facilities are first class. You combine this with tremendous hospitality and you can't but help have a wonderful holiday. There is no doubt that we will return and many of our friends and family are excited about holidaying there. Koh Samui itself is great and still relatively unspoilt. The Baan Luxor is in an excellent location to get to all points on the island and its close proximity to Chaweng Beach and Fishermans Village makes it ideal -John Olsen, Blacktown, NSW, Australia

Baan Luxor proved to be the most amazing accommodation. The house is magnificent, very spacious and beautifully decorated. The private outside jacuzzi is astonishing. The swimming pool is shared with 3 other houses but we never saw anyone else and it was all very private. The location is great as we ended up discovering all of Koh Samui rather than staying in one place. The owner was fabulous and very helpful arranging anything and in providing useful tips where to go. All in all this accommodation topped a 5 star hotel for us and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. - Floor Christie, Saudi Arabia

We arrived at Baan Luxor during the Bangkok Airport crisis and being determined to spend our week their arrived via Phuket-Samui. Changes to our arrival date/time made no difference to the efficiency of our pick up from the airport. we experienced a week of total indulgence greatly assisted by Jan & Kai. Nothing we asked of them was a problem and the accommodation was simply SUPERB!! I have visited Koh Samui on more than ten occasions and this was by far my best experience of accommodation on the island. I would most definitely, highly recommend BAAN LUXOR and the hosts JAN & KAI and will most certainly return to this PARADISE within PARADISE. Sincere thanks to you both guys!! Forever mates and absolutely brilliant!! - Kevin Ford, Sydney, NSW, Australia

It was a very nice villa with a lot of space. A bit secluded but with car/scooter close to Bophut,Chaweng and big shopping malls. We ordered Tai food from the delivery service which was very tastful. Although it rained for 5 days we had a relaxing time and enjoyed the dvd's that Jan the owner lend to us. - Fam. Robbertsen, Singapore

We have recently returned from a one week stay in the Baan Luxor Villa. It was just perfect. The villa was beautiful. Everything was of a very high standard and immaculately clean. Jan, the owner was the perfect host, available at all times of the day and nothing was too much trouble for him. Would have no hesitation recommending this villa. - Julie Martin, North Yorkshire, England

We were a group of 6 and spent a week staying at Baan Luxor. It was an absolutely fantastic villa which was equipped with everything you could possibly need on holiday, especially the washing machine! There were 2 children in our party who spent most of the time in the pool which was really beautiful and warm. The location was fab, in a quiet area but not too far from the lively parts of Koh Samui. We didn't rent a car and Yan organised us our very own taxi driver for the week who was very reliable. The best beach by far was Choeng Mon which was clean, not too busy and had loads of water-sports. The sea is shallow and warm which was great for kids and the bars were not as expensive as other areas of Koh Samui. Thank you Yan and Kai for a wonderful week in such luxurious accommodation and for your excellent customer service. We will be back!! - Sue Mitch and James, Chislehurst Kent UK

Our family of 4 have just returned from a fantastic 3 week stay at Baan Luxor. The villa is gorgeous and spacious with a beautiful swimming pool to cool off in. Yan and Kai were perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. The villa is situated close enough to the beaches, shops and restaurants yet far enough to have peace and privacy when needed, excellent value for money and HIGHLY recommended. Thank you Yan and Kai! We will be back!!! - Stephane and Natalie, Saudi Arabia

I traveled to Koh Samui with 2 friends and stayed at the beautiful Baan Luxor. The Villas are a paradise of their own with in the beautiful island. The villas are laid out brilliantly with the bedrooms upstairs and the living areas downstairs, the decor is fantastic and you will love the Jacuzzi on the balcony upstairs as an unwind to your day and a recharge for the nights activities. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can cook your own meals if you choose to. The villa is located away from the main strip of Chewang which is fantastic as you don't have the hustle and bustle of the nightlife and markets disturbing you but also you are not far from that so you can still enjoy it and come home to peace and quiet. It is fantastic to walk out your front door and be metres away from the pool. The owner Yan and his helper Kai were fantastic, they helped us with everything we needed wether it was organising taxis car rental or anything that we needed to make our stay comfortable to the information and suggestions on where to go and what to see. For that we say a big thank you to Yan and Kai for making our stay unforgettable.I cannot speak highly enough of the Baan Luxor and its staff and its quality and value for money and because of it we will return to Koh Samui and the Baan Luxor. If your thinking about Samui then for your accommodation stop thinking book at the Baan Luxor. -Nick, Sydney Australia

The Baan Luxor is a fantastic villa, which is immaculately furnished and designed from the moment you enter through the front gate. The large spacious living area on the ground floor to the separate bedrooms and master bedroom upstairs, it is an oasis on paradise. The jacuzzi on the balcony of the master bedroom is a magnificent place for rest and relaxation. The owner Yan, and Kai could not do enough to make the stay more pleasurable, enjoyable and were always available to provide information about services and activities on the island. Yan, i really appreciate the conversations we had, and you have provided inspiration to follow my dreams about residing in Thailand. The location is actually perfect for those wanting tranquility, yet close enough (5 minute drive)to the centre of Chaweng for those wanting the shopping, massages, restaurants, and nightlife. My two friends and i had the time of our lives, and the stay was that enjoyable, that we extended our stay for 3 extra nights. JUST DO IT, for anyone considering this VILLA, for quality and price. Cheers Anthony -Anthony Battaglia, Sydney, Australia

The lush garden with its large pool let us forget about the rest of the world. Thank you again, Jan and Kai, for an unforgettable holiday and of course for the warm welcome and the perfect hospitality. We will come back! Or family of four had a wonderful, chilled out stay here (March 08). The beautiful three bedroomed villa exceeded our expectations. it was spacious with quality furnishing and fittings, it also had large screen t.v's, d.v.d. player, w/machine, iron and fitted kitchen. Out side there is a useful private shaded seating area which overlooks the superb pool and tropical shrubs.
The hosts Yan and Kai are very helpful, they even picked up some shopping for us, they can also arrange taxi's or car hire, nothing is too much trouble for them.
Baan Luxor is a tranquil oasis that we loved, yet not far from the shopping or night life of Chaweng. We would recommend staying here and the price is good too.

My family from Denmark, my husband an I, from Perth Western Australia(6 adults), stayed in Baan Luxor for 10 days. When someone books accommodation they have no idea where they are going to be staying. Our family stayed in Baan Luxon for 10 days. We highly recommend the Villa. It is like being in your home but away on a dream holiday. It is in beautiful Samui but away from the night life and surrounded by the beautiful peaceful nights of the Samui sky. Jan organised a hire car for us at a very good rate. We were 7 minutes away from the night life of the centre of Samui. We also hired a motor bike at a very cheap price and could go around the Island and enjoy all the sights. My family and I enjoyed the stay in Baan Luxor very much and hope to visit again soon. Jan and Kai thank you for the warm hospitality. - Roza Vrteska, Perth Western Australia

My friend and I two single guys, stayed at Baan luxor over the Christmas and New Year period, our stay was amazing, everything to the moment we landed to the moment we left jan attended to all our needs, I would highly recommend if you are booking with friends to make sure you get the master bedroom, the private and secluded bath jacuzzi on the bedroom balcony is simply stunning - if you want a peaceful holiday you can have one , if you want some madness, its less then 5 minutes away - in short if you are looking for a holiday in a villa that has privacy, immaculate furniture, first class customer service and being near everything I highly recommend staying at Baan Luxor.
Great work Jan, you really have thought of every fine details. Dont take my word for it - book it and see for yourself !! - Socrates , Dubai

My friends and I have spent one week at the Baan Luxor Villa in Koh Samui. We have found here a little piece of paradise. The villa is beautiful and very comfortable. The service is perfect. The villa is next to anything needed: supermarket, pharmacy, and Chaweng is only at 5 mins in motorbike. Even under massive raining! 🙂 Congrats for this place. -Bodo Yann, Paris / France

28 Nov 2007

My friends and I stayed at the Baan Luxor villa for about 1 week during mid October. The villa itself is simply beautiful, brand new, very clean, and roomy. Everything is provided inside for feeling like being at home, equipments, furniture... The quality of the service is irreproachable. Around the villa, the swimming pool, the covered area for chilling out, and of course, all the vegetation is simply amazing. Overall, I would greatly recommend this place, not only because it's beautiful, but also for the service provided, and the kindness of the host. Regarding the area, the price is more than affordable, for this type of service. Congrats! Felicitations encore pour cette villa, et pour votre accueil chaleureux. Nous serons tres heureux de revenir a Baan Luxor pour nos prochaines vacances. A tres bientot... +++++++++++ 😀

I spent a wonderful week inside the breathless villa of Baan Luxor. Jan the owner designed everything so that you feel home as soon as you check in. Not to mention the cleanliness and the fully equipped rooms. The location is also a must close to every conveniences and a bit off the over crowed areas of Chaweng. To top it all the lovely swimming pool and outside exotic gardens make the place one of Samui's musts.
Une telle réussite que c'est presque un crève coeur d'en partager le secret 😉

My Family and I ( 4 people in all )stayed at Baan Luxor for 8 wonderful nights in early October 2007. We were most impressed with the facilities provided and the cleanliness of the Villa ! Everything was provided for our convenience and the location was just right . 5 mins by car from Shops and Malls . Chaweng Beach is only 10 mins away from restaurants and shopping! Arrangements were made for us to rent a car which is really a must to get around Koh Samui and Mr Yan the owner, is very helpful and goes out of his way to please his guests . We found the privacy of the Villa's and the lovely swimming pool add a nice calm and relaxing atmosphere to an enchanting place to spend our holidays . Great care has been taken in the design and layout of the Villas' not to mention the exotic landscape gardens both inside and outside . As a family we highly recommend Baan Luxor and we look forward to spending more holidays there ! By the way the pricing is so much more reasonable then staying at a hotel plus you get a fully equipped kitchen so you can enjoy home cooking as well ! A happy visitor to Koh Samui ! - Elina Aziz, Petaling Jaya , Malaysia -Cutty, Paris, France
